1987 Volvo 740 GLE For Sale

This one owner car has been driven daily until two weeks ago. A few weeks ago the transmission mount failed, thus causing the transmission to put pressure on the mounting piece between the transmission and engine. I drove the car to the shop like that and they installed new transmission mounts and replaced the part between the motor and transmission because I damaged it driving it to them. The also re-built the distributor because it had an oil leak. Total was about $600.

I picked the car up and the transmission was slipping on the way home. The next day the transmission went totally out. It does not drive forward only backwards (in reverse). When I called the repair place back there was nothing they could do except to offer me a replacement transmission that they happen to have in stock. How convenient. Well, it's decision time for me, fix it and keep driving or get another car. Because of my sales position I have decide to get a newer car. I have to take customers with me from time to time.
